Joseph Nourse, first Register of the US Treasury, resided at Dumbarton House with his family, servants, and enslaved workers from 1804-1813. Drawing on our rich collection of Nourse objects and papers, both public and private, we offer a fascinating insight into their daily lives.
Join a knowledgeable docent for a 45 minute tour through the historic house and enjoy self-guided exhibitions. For your convenience, book online or by phone for our Saturday and Sunday guided tours at 10:30am and 1:30pm. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome as space permits.
