Join the Picnic Theatre Company at Dumbarton House in Georgetown for a live performance of Lux Radio’s Sunset Boulevard, the 1950 Hollywood noir classic! An aging silent film queen refuses to accept that her stardom has ended, hiring a young struggling screenwriter to set up her movie comeback. She draws him into her fantasy world in a decadent mansion with her devoted butler, with Hollywood producers, directors, aspiring young talents, gossip columnists and photographers witnessing the madness unfold on the famed Sunset Boulevard.
Reserved Seating is $20 in advance, only 40 tickets available.
General Admission: $15 in advance, $17 at the door
Doors open at 6:00pm, performance begins at 7:00pm
This is a casual cocktail event in the museum’s Belle Vue Ballroom, located on the lower level, off of the parking lot. This event does sell out, and patrons may end up standing during the duration of the show. Doors open early for you to enjoy the ballroom and refreshments. Please note that the museum will not be open for tours.
Wine, beer, popcorn & other refreshments will be available for sale. No outside alcohol. Outside food allowed.
